SPLAT!! is a start to finish approach to painting impressionist paintings in acrylics. Developed by award winning instructor Dianna Shyne, this class will show you how to best use the tools of painting to tap into your deeper self and create paintings you never believed possible.
Dianna will lead you step by step through the tools and stages you need to know to create your own masterpiece in acrylic paints. She will also share tools and techniques that will enhance your skills and hopefully give you that “ah-ha” moment we all look for!
In this two day workshop, Dianna will lead you step-by-step through the tools and stages you need to know how to create your own masterpiece in acrylic paints.
Each Splat!! class will contain the following:
- The Power of Planning
- Design and composition
- Color Mixing and Harmony
- Boldness in Brushwork (The Power of Letting go)
- Edges, detail, texture
- When to stop!
The workshop includes-

One 11” x 15” Masterson’s sta-wet palette. Or sealable tray
One package Materson’s Sta-wet palette Papers 10”x 14” .
PAINTING SURFACES ( Some small gessoed matboard to practice on 5’ x 7”)
at least one panel or canvas to paint on.
Real canvas Pad…12” x 16”or 16” x 20”

(Golden…recommended brand. You can select from other brands as well.
Please do NOT buy student grade paint. You will not get good results)

(an assortment of acrylic fiber brushes-small round for details 1” flat for washes and large areas, ¼” flat for good edges and others)
