Join Mitch Albala for his only plein air adventure in 2020 — a 4-day painting immersion on beautiful Bainbridge Island, Wash., during the Pacific Northwest’s most glorious season. This structured workshop will guide you through the core essentials of plein air painting, as each day’s efforts build on the previous day’s lesson.
You’ll be part of a close “art colony” as you benefit from daily demonstrations, critiques, and lunch time chats. For optimal lighting, we paint in the mornings (8:30 AM – 11:30 AM) and afternoons (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM). Registration is kept low, so there will be plenty of one-on-one time with your instructor.
The workshop also includes a welcome orientation with wine and hors d’oeuvres on the evening before the workshop, August 11 (optional), gourmet boxed lunches at our painting locations and a group exhibition of our work at Winslow Art Center on the last night of the workshop. Read daily class schedule here.
